If you’re looking for a little extra support for your next album, tour, or need a sweet new axe, The Heavy Metal Citadel has you covered. We’re running a metal competition with the winner receiving £333!

Submit your best song and let the Citadelians decide who is worthy enough to claim the throne!

All song submissions will be played for followers of The Citadel and they will vote for the winner. Submit your info below!

Terms & Conditions

  1. You must be in one of the following genres:

    1. Black Metal (Melodic, Raw, etc.)

    2. NWOBHM

    3. Death Metal

    4. Dungeon Synth

    5. Doom Metal

    6. Speed Metal

    7. Thrash/Crossover

    8. Traditional Heavy Metal

  2. You must have at least three songs (EP, or singles)

  3. You must give us a brief bio about your project/band

  4. You must submit a chosen track for the crowd to listen to

  5. Finalists will need to submit a secondary track

  6. You must tell the crowd what the prize money will be going towards (your next project, tour, equipment)

Geographical location does not matter. Winner will be asked for a follow-up interview.

How the Voting Works

Round Robin Knockout

Chort and Chernoglav, your hosts at The Heavy Metal Citadel, will pick the first 8 submissions and present them to the crowd who will then vote on their favourite bands/projects. This will run for one week.

Finalists

From the Round Robin Knockout we will have a head-to-head of the top two finalists with the most votes. The finalists will need to submut a secondary track for the Citadelians to vote on. The finals round of voting will run for 3 days, after which the winner will be announced and receive the prize money.

Citadelians can only vote once in the first round of 10, then once more for the finalists.

Voters will be required to include an email address but will not receive any marketing materials, it is to ensure we keep the votes authentic.
